Since I made the switch six months to a tableless design on my main site, I noticed some interesting things:

My ranking of the search engines have improved significantly
My bandwidth has dropped by about 50-75%
Now I can make changes to the look of my site simply by changing a file, the stylesheet.

Let us look at why my rankings improved search engine. Now that I’m not less inserts have code on my pages, search engines can now spider my site quicker. Less code, more content, a better ranking. Logic, right?

Bandwidth costs money, and if you have a really good hosting plan with lots of bandwidth, then your files will not be more space on your server and take much longer to load. Tableless designs use significantly less bandwidth and are easily accessible.

Occasionally I may want to change the look of my site. I like to change the font colors, link colors, menu items, etc. .. Before I started using tableless designs, these changes took me hours to do. Now I just opened my stylesheet, make the changes I want, and within minutes I have my website up to date with the date the new look and feel. It’s so easy!

For a customer who wants to make their own changes, tableless designs could literally save you thousands on their tech costs.

Most of my clients want more pages with tables. I now give them the choice of either style. Finally, customers need to be happy, right?

Some people have the misconception that the use of tableless design with a boring and less graphical site. Nothing could be further from the truth.
